HI there

I have obviously got a 'quick address' facility in outlook. When I type the
first three letters or so of an email address it remembers previous ones and
suggests an option.

These are not just those in my contacts.

the trouble is that in time it tends to also collect mis spelt ones so I
want to be able ot go in and clean them up, however I do not know where ot
find the file where they are stored?

can anyone offer me any help here please?

Thanks

Tony

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. If your autocomplete list contains only a single entry, use the
directions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;289975

To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q287623

Thanks for that

Is there any way I can view the actual auto complete entries in file.. I am
looking for an old email address I can no longer find

There is a 3rd party program that can edit the .NK2 file (the AutoComplete
cache file). You can also use it to backup and restore the NK2 file and to
create Contact Records from your NK2 data. You can read more about it here:
