Dear Microsoft: The mouse on my windows xp freezes from time to time and when i push control alt delete to restart it the computer does not respond to the command so i have to push the reset button to start it up again which i dont' like to do the last time i pushed the restart button it jammed up on me and i eventually got it unstuck with a banjo pick...also i have adult web sites in my computer that wont let me delete them i keep getting a dialog box that says cannot read from file or disk. can you please help me with these annoyances. thank you

Rob, second problem first. It sounds like you have some spyware/adware on
your machine. You should run Ad Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com or Spybot
Search and Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org/. That should clear
out the adult stuff that is refusing to be deleted.

Hopefully, that also fixes the second problem as spyware is notoriously bad
for you machine. However, if it does not make sure you have the latest
drivers for your mouse. I would also check the logs in event viewer and see
if there is anything listed there. It is possible there is something other
than the mouse to blame as it sounds like the whole system is locking up.

Hope that helps.
