When I turn on the computer, it always opens with the "C:\Program" window. I
always have to close this window. How can I turn this off, so the computer
starts
without this? I have windows XP.

Start > Run > msconfig > Startup and look for something being started that
has the path
C:\Program Files\folder\filename.exe without quotation marks around it and
add double quotes, i.e.
"C:\Program Files\Folder\filename.exe"

You are getting the error message about C:\Program because the double-quotes
are missing from the long file name that includes spaces.

There is NO FOLDER C:\Program Files\folder\filename.exe without quotation
marks.
There is a C:\Program and C:\Programs folders-they're 2 separate folders.
Even so, I followed your suggestion and couldn't find any files w/o quotation
marks around it.
Other suggestions might help?
Thanks...

Why do you have a \Program and a \Programs folder? Under normal installation
of Windows you should have a \Program Files folder but not the other two.
Where did they come form and what created or is using them?

I don't know. I can send you a "snapshot" of what it looks like if you want
to get a better idea. Let me know.
