Question regarding 2000 vs. 2003

Apparently in Outlook 2000 when you are in the folder list and you
move from one group to another (calendar to tasks to inbox) even if
you click on the folder, an item in the window on the right that opens
will still be highlighted. But in 2004 you need to click or tab to
get into that window. Is there any hotfix or change so that it will
mirror what it used to do in 2000?

Sorry, I meant 2003 not 2004 by the way.

Interestingly it does not appear to be an issue in 2007.
