First, I apologize if this is an old topic, but I can't find any reference to
my question.
Win XP-Media Edition. In older Windows Explorer (all 98's, NT, ME, W2K)
Explorer would show number of files in a folder at the bottom, plus cumulative
size of all files. When a file, or files, was selected, the figures changed to
show the number of files selected, and their cumulative size. In my
configuration of Explorer View Options I've set up just like older vers, with
show hidden, show extensions, etc, and have gone over the settings, but can't
get the file numbers, size, etc. Is this feature missing from XP's Windows
Explorer, or have I just missed a setting. I have a few other programs, i.e.
SuperExplorer, which still shows these numbers, but it is far clunkier, than
Windows Explorer, not to mention much slower. I'd appreciate someone either
confirming that XP has ceased showing this info, or point out what I'm missing
to get it to appear.
TIA
