I have a wireless home network and other than my router firewall I use the
built in Win XP firewall. However when I need to send a print job to my
printer, I have to disable the Win XP firewall in order to get it to print.
How can I configure it so I don't have to do this? I checked the Advanced
settings but I'm not sure how to "Add" my printer to the list of accessable
items.
Thanks for any advice.
Thanks
Gary

Networks and firewall's dont mix. They warned you of this when installed you network but you were too ignorant to read the pop-up. Maybe you need to connect your brain to your eyes before you start littering this forum with your nonsense. k?

Greetings --

WinXP's built-in firewall is not designed to be used on internal
LAN connections. The _only_ connection on which you should have ICF
enabled is the direct connection to the Internet.

This matter is addressed in Service Pack 2. WinXP's built-in
firewall will allow exceptions for File & Print Sharing.
