when I use outlook express newsreader, I hit synchronize all and have
seetings to download message, when I scroll through, the little pushpin icon
is sometimes has writing and sometimes not, the writing I believe indicates
that the message was downloaded.

How do I make the newsreader download the message and not just the header??
so I can read offline

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup. Hint: right-click on the newsgroup
title in the folder list.

Hi brian,

thanks for your reply, I am sorry for putting up on the wrong board. please
help direct me/
before I posted I looked for newsreader and express groups but there were
only express groups in other languages, I couldn't find a
public.outlookexpress group, I also couldn't find a newsreader group.

Please tell me where I can find it, if you can't find it, please tell me how
to fix this problem, I took your hint and looked in the help but it does not
define the term differences.

thanks, sorry for the inconvenience

If you click on the "Newsgroups" icon in the OE tool bar and enter "express"
in the top box, you should see a lot more than just groups for other
languages.

Right-clicking on the name of the newsgroup you're reading will bring up a
menu one of whose items is "Synchronization Settings". The option you want
is there. You can also left-click on the account name. You'll then be
given a list of all your subscribed groups in that account and the
synchronization settings will also display.
