I recently took an upgraded version of java off of someone elses computer. I
saved it to my flash drive and tried to install it on my computer. I tried
doing it with add new programs in control panel but it says i need to click
on the windows update button to add files from a drive or other stuff. I
fully upgraded and it says the same thing. Is it not possible to do that? Is
it possible to load any program from my flash drive like flash or frontpage?
Please tell me how to do this, I would really appreciate it.

Well where i live our internet is real crappy and its always disconnecting us
and we cant get high speed. Ive tried downloading java. So what can i
transfer on my flash that may be useful?

If you have access to a computer with a good internet connection you can
download a manual offline installation on to a flash drive from:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
or if you can't get a reliable internet connection you could order the
software on CD,
http://www.java.com/en/download/get_cd.jsp ($10.00)

Usually when java updates online it doesn't leave an installer that you can
copy and transfer to another PC. It Downloads files direct without storing
them in a temp folder first.

I may be wrong, if anyone knows any different please let us know,

Simon.
