Hi,

I'm looking for a way to log everything that an application does to my hard
drive during installation... specifically what files are installed, what
files are changed and (hopefully) any mods/adds to the Registry.

Preferably, a solution would be a "app.log" file I can view and print (if I
choose). Also, I hope it'd be something I can "turn off/on" (so I can
choose when to log or not).

Thanks in advance!
Steve

You'll need a third-party program, such as System Mechanic
(www.iolo.com). Download/install the free 30 day trial, then click
on Protect > System Snapshots.

The program Inctrl5, http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,9882,00.asp.

I have used Norton's Clean Sweep for years with complete satisfaction.
