Mario

I was reading through the archive on Google, and I see that you have created
a DX9 component from the SDK. Is there any chance of a copy of this?
If you look at my post of the 30/1/04 you will see I am having enormous
problems with the standard Dx9 install package.
It would be nice to give your component a try.

TIA

No problem, I will send you my component via mail...

The dxinstall.exe in my repository is self created with the DX SDK, so no
userintervention is necessary and dring install nothing is shown....

You have to modify the component, because the FBA Generic commands are
configured to use a little vb app, called the system updater. Only a small
app, which can used so run bat, exe, msi files with no UI.

Change the component, to run the exe file manually without the sysupdater...

Best Regard,
Mario

I can't say, that the problems disappear with this component, because IIS is
not in my build...

Some time ago, I had similar problems with fbreseal and SID change.
When cmiRemoveNetSettings was set to true, than sometimes the Network card
does not work when fbreseal was started more than once. But there is no way
around, I have to run fbreseal often...

Set the flags at the system cloning tool to false, solved my problems...

Perhaps, setting all flags to false, can solve your problem.

Best Regards,
Mario

Thanks, i'll give that a try.

Hi Mario!

You have a component for DX9?

:-))

Wow... Can you please send it to my address as well?

Thank you very much in advanced!

E-Mail: (e-mail address removed)

You know, that this is only the normal Dx9b install during FBA with FBA
Command!?

But sure, I will send it to you.

Download the Dx9b and extract the files to a folder.
Replace the dxinstall.exe with the one I sent you (no user intervention, no
user interface, no reboot)

Contact me if you need spezific info....

Best Regards,
Mario

why not donate your exe to www.xpefiles.com to the benefit of all of us developers? don't forget to add a document containing pretty much what you have written in your posting

thanks
idan

I have posted the dxinstall.exe at xpefiles.com under
Utilities:Main:dxinstall.zip

Best Regards,
Mario
