Jishnu

This is in regard to migrating from Small Business Server 4.5 to
Server 2003 AD
---you had earlier answered some questions, but I was wondering if you
have answers to these ------
Thank you so much Haribabu, that does clear some doubts that I had of
having two running Dc's at the same time.
But It leads to another question that I have
** if the domain Name needs to be changed
then, the individual user will not be able to log on to Using :
Username, Paswword and Old domain combination: which creates a
profile on local pC's to which things like Microsoft outlook is
attached.
Do you or anyone else know the problem to my above issue.
Thanks

Hi Jishnu,

Could you please explain briefly about the issue like what is the client
operating system, any error, etc? I will try my level best to help you.

Thanks,

Thank you Haribabu,
If I undesratnd correctly, during migration from NT to server 2003.
If the Destination Server domain name is different from Source DOmain
Name.
After the migration.
The client have to log on to new DOmain anme.
If that is the case the .pst files in Outlook are assigned by profile
of the user and if they log on to a new domain name they wil lhave a
new profile (I guess), therefore needing to setting up there outlook
again. I just want to know if that will be the case or not.
Thanks

Hi,

Yes, I understood your question. The answer is Yes.
You are right. You can change the existing profile or create new profile
for the new domain and point it to the same .PST file instead of creating
new one.

Does it answer your question? Please let me know if I can help you on this
regard.

Thanks,
