Question About WinXP SP2 File Sharing

I have two computers set up such that Computer A has a 2nd hard drive
which I use to backup the primary (C:) drive of both itself and, over
the network, Computer B.

Computer B is running Windows XP. I recently updated this machine to
SP2.

The problem I am having is that, with the install of SP2, each
directory has it's own file sharing permissions. What I need to do is
set the permissions on the root C: directory, and every directory
under it, to allow the backup program (running on Computer A) to
access the files on Computer B and complete the backup process.

Clear as mud?

I'm thinking there must be an easy way to do this, but I can't find
it.

Thanks!

Th is way is ensure that inherit permissions is on and then just set the
required permissions of the root of the drive by right lcik on the drive and
then security/permissions i think it is and it will set all the permisions
on every folder/file to match those on the root.

HTH
