Question about new Motherboard

Charlie

I recently installed a new motherboard and I notice when I power on there is
a white line at the bottom of the screen before showing the BIOS
information. This line is similar to the line that indicates Windows is
loading when the system comes out of hibernate mode. I have built several
other systems and never seen this line at boot up. Is this something I
should be concerned with?

Greetings --

You might try asking the motherboard manufacturer if this behavior
is normal for that particular model motherboard.

Actually, I have a feeling that is not the motherboard, but the video
card. If it doesn't affect anything, I would just leave it alone. I
would check with the video card manufacturer.

That's true; it might very well be the video adapter's firmware
information that the OP is seeing. I didn't think of that.

Hi all,

Yeap, I also think of this. Before the BIOS information, it should show the
information about the display card.

Charlie, you'd better consault display card manufacture and then
motherboard manufacture to see if it is normal.

Have a nice day!
