Question about my Notwork...

I've got 2 computers in sperate rooms, they are conncected physically but
they won't communicate. I've set up the network many times before using the
Windows Xp cd but this time (since we re-formatted) they won't talk. I
managed to get the printer working on both computers but I can't tranfer
files between them yet.
The network is set up so that the cable line comes in from the wall, into
the modem, then into a D-Link router, then splits off from the router to one
of the computers and then through the wall and into the hub by the other
computer, then splits off to the X-Box and the other computer. The internet
works great but I can't share files...
Any insight would be great.

Shea,

Try providing "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", and background information,
for each computer. And describe the actual experience of "won't talk".
