I have two queries to produce the following
Query LMC 1
Sample Location Date Water Head
LMC 1 01/01/05 12.3
LMC 1 01/02/05 13.4
LMC 1 01/03/05 12.8
Query LMC 3
Sample Location Date Water Head
LMC 3 05/01/05 12.3
LMC 3 07/02/05 13.4
LMC 3 01/03/05 12.8
The difference between the two queries is that the way in which the water
head field has been calculated is different (hence the two different
queries). There are also some different date entries.
Basically I want to create a query (and then a form (chart)) to show the
following
Sample Location Date Water Head
LMC 1 01/01/05 12.3
LMC 1 01/02/05 13.4
LMC 1 01/03/05 12.8
LMC 3 05/01/05 12.3
LMC 3 07/02/05 13.4
LMC 3 01/03/05 12.8
i.e I want a query with the sample location, date and water head fields for
both LMC 1 and LMC 3.
I've tried to run a query with all the fields from the orginal queries e.g
sample location, date and water head from Query LMC 1 and Query LMC 3 but i
just get repeated entries of the entries in both Query LMC 1 and Query LMC 3
I've also tried to draw a relationship between the dates and then run the
query with just the LMC 1 sample location, LMC 1 date and LMC 1 water head
and LMC 3 water head. But this seems to exclude the dates that are in LMC 3
but are not in LMC 1 (i.e the define relationship doesn't seem to allow for
those that are the same in LMC 1 and 3 plus those that are also in LMC 1 and
3)
Help - I'm going round in circles and I'm sure there is an obvious answer to
my question.
Thank you very much!
