Query slow after being renamed

Hi
I'm running XP and Access 2003.
I have a query running off an ODBC table that comes back in about 30s
normally.
I'm trying to rename it (also tried copying, save as, import from a backup)
and run it with the new name. When I do so, it takes several minutes to run.
I have several queries like this, so when I do a complete refresh what takes
about 10 mins with the old query names runs for hours.
Any suggestions why this is happening?

I thing it is the Name AutoCorrect feature. Turn it off for your database.
