Query last 7 days

HELP!!!

Using Access 2000, I have a field titled "Open (date)", I am trying to
create a query that gives me only records that have been opened in the
last 7 days.

Using Expression Builder I have:
=Date()-"7"

It returns the records from the last 7 days but it also has a record
from last year. This sounds like it should be easy, but I am teaching
myself on the job. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I entered it without the quotes and they automatically appeared when I
clicked out of the area.
