Queries and linear regression

Within excell there are function to perform linear
regression analysis on a set of data, I am aware of the
basis equations for the least squares method for linear
regression, but is there an easy way in access to do this
as per excell.

Access can use a reference set to the Excel object to "borrow"/use the
functions in Excel.

Is there a reason why you don't export the data from Access into Excel and
use the function there?
