hi,
i previously posted a message about recovering data off a quantum
tm32a012 hd that i fried. it was suggested that i could probably get
the drive working again by replacing the circuit board with one from the
same model of drive. i've finally found a tm32a012 board that i could
buy however the revision numbers don't match. mine is "Rev 02-E" and
the one i want to buy is "Rev 01-D". i'm wondering if that circuit
board could still work to enable me to recover data off this drive?
thanks!

The only way to know is to try it and see.

Should be fine with a quantum IDE drive of that vintage.

why do u think it is pcb board problem.
Usaualy it is heads or firmware on that model.
Board are the same.
But u will need to put a drive in a safe mode and olay with firmware
if i am right.
