Q: reading active directory

Hello,
How would you read active directory information, username, e-mail, ...
I am using VB in my asp.net and I do not think that we use LDAP, so it
should be WinNT. can anyone give me a code sample?

Hi Jim, I've not tried this but found an article within the MSDN version
supplied with .Net that has the heading

"Using System.DirectoryServices to Search the ActiveDirectory"

LDAP is just a protocol, which you DO use to query Active Directory. There

When I type Imports System.DirectoryServices on type of my source code I see
System.DirectoryServices is underlined with blue, meaning not recognized. DO
I have any setting missing in my environment?
