Hi.

I have the following software:
Windows 2000 Pro SP3 5.0.2195 (German)
Outlook 2003 11.6113.6201 as part of Office Pro 2003 (International)

When Outlook 2003 is started, there will be an icon placed in the tray.

With a patch (1) I was able to have Windows 2000 recognize 256 colored icons
in the tray.
It's working fine, but with one except: Outlook 2003. There's still this
"nasty" looking Outlook icon showing only 16 colors.

Is it possible to somehow change Outlook 2003 to use an icon with more
colors?

Thanks
Marcel

Hm,

changed the screenresolution to 256 colors and the Outlook-Icons look as bad
as this Trayicon. Seems the only way to have a nice Trayicon would be by
changing the Traycolors to high- or truecolor. But for now I have no clue if
this can be done.

Are you having other display issues? I know with the
newer Dells you have to load a bunch of display stuff
(drivers and some otherestuff that I'm not sure what it is
or does but it works) from the CD's they provide to get
the full range of colors to select from. if you just
install the drivers that come with the monitor it doesn't
seem to have it all there.
