Q: decimal number regular expression

Hello,
Can someone give me a regular expression that accepts the following format
with/without negative and nothing else. “1234.56â€.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for - if you want 1-4 digits
followed by exactly two decimals, this would do it:
(?n)^-?((\d{1,4})\.(\d{2}))$
