I have XP and I have my computer set up for multiple users in my home. I want to be able to lock certain folders in my section. It tells me that I need to set up a security password. but when I do that it locks the entrance to my desk top. I dont want a pasword for that. I want a password just for one folder. so if anyone clicks on the folder it asks for a password.

Hi,

You need third-party software for that. WinXP's security is based on
securing your user profile and privatizing files (setting permissions).
