Putting a hyperlink into a protected worksheet

I have produced a spreadsheet that requires input from other people to
complete it. I have protected the structure leaving certain cells for input.
One of these requires the user to insert a hyperlink but although the lock
is off that cell, because the worksheet is protected, it will not allow me to
do it.

Is there a way around this without losing the protection?
 
Remove protection and then reapply it to the worksheet, only this time in the
list of ALLOW USERS OF THIS WORKSHEET TO check INSERT HYPERLINKS
