Firstly, please do not post all in capitals, it's the Usenet equivalent of
shouting, and makes your post hard to read.

What sort of dictionary are you talking about? All spell checkers come with
a dictionary, but that is only usable by the utility itself. You can open
the dictionary in a text editor, but I think you need to be a bit more
explicit as to what you want to do.

Please don't yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally, in mixed
case.

No, Windows XP does not include a dictionary. However there are lots of
third-party choices. Some are for sale, others may be freeware or shareware.
A google search should give you lots of choices.

The Microsoft lexicons are binary compiled files without a "viewer".
They are not dictionaries in the traditional sense, just lists of words
without accompanying meanings.

Consider http://www.dqsd.net/ . It installs a window on the bottom
line of your screen that normally displays the date and time. If you
type a "?" you'll get a list of the hundreds of functions DQSB does.
One of these is a dictionary look up. "dic foo" will look up "foo"
for you. If what you type is not a command, the program fires it off
to Google. This is probably the single most useful add-in that I've
come across.

Why, so you can learn the difference between when to use capitals in a
sentence?

Sorry, a dictionary will probably not help you here. Try a book on English
grammar.
