purge old network folders Network Places

Hello
How do or I guess I should say "Can I" purge network folders that showup
in Network Places that I know have been unshared on the network. They
seem to stay around awhile even though I know that they no longer exist
on the LAN.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated

Right-click and delete them.
