How should I publish my web without distrubing my
Discussion Board. Should I not publish this page once it's
up?

If your host allows subweb create it in a new subweb
If not mark all page associated w/ the DW as Do not publish (including tocproto.htm) and pray
- pay attention to prompts when publishing and don't select delete when prompted about new DW page on your web that are not on you
local

Thanks; So I guess I bascially should not touch the
contents page once it's up?

So should I apply shared bordes (to the contents page that
houses the result threads) so this if I want to add links
graphics make changes etc; I only modify the borders with
messing it up?

or

will this update the contents page anyhow?

Thanks

If you add shared borders, and then make changes, yes the content pages will
be overwritten.

So how do I avoid wiping out my discussion forum?

I tried setting the private folder 'toc' to 'do not
publish' as suggested and that is working.

Is this going to continue working? and what if I make
changes to the content page; will that interfere with the
result threads?

FP discussion webs really stink :) need something better;
but something easy to work with? for the most part FP is
easy.

Thanks

If you need to make changes to the discussion web, you must do so on the
live site directly from within FP.

You can not make changes locally and then publish without overwriting any
new entries.

Ok I know how to do that when I remove threads; but what
about if I want to change the borders or add new links
graphics etc.? do I just do this from the online web also?

Thanks I appreciate your patience.
