Publisher File Problem with XP

Tonight out of the blue I am unbale to access any of my saved Publisher
files. I use them all of the time, so this is totally unexpected. I have
attempted to use system restore to get things going again, but it still isn't
working. Any suggestions?

System restore is NOT a tweak to get Publisher files to work again.
 
Thanks Plato...any ideas on what would cause this sudden Pub. problem? Do you
recommend a certain download from bootdisk.com??

So.. even if you create a new one in publisher.. that one is not able to be
reopened?
