We have Outlook 2003, and 2007.

1) How do you identify who created a calendar event from the month view
without opening the event?

2) How do you mark the event so it appears completed from the month view?

1, hover over it to see the organizer. if it doesn't show, you need to open
it. or you can use automatic formatting to color them based on who made it,
but it won't work if you use labels or color categories.

2. appointments are completed when the appointment's end time is past. you
could assign a color category of Completed and use autoformatting to 'mark'
them if you need visual assistance.

I tried to assign RED to "items marked as completed" in autoformatting.
However, none of my completed items changed color. Am I missing something?

You can only mark tasks completed not appointments. You'd need to assign a
category when you completed them and color the completed category red.
