We have a user that recently left the company, and had an
Archived Mail PST file under his home directory that he
accessed through MS Outlook. The PST file is 450MB. The
person who replaced him needs access to these E-Mails,
and the PST file was copied to the second individual's
Home directory. This is a common practice that we have
used successfully many times in the past. This time
however, when the new user creates the new "Personal
Folders File" (PST) to look at this mail through Outlook,
only 1 message is displayed. When looking at the
Properties of the 'Archived Mail' folder in Outlook that
is pointing to the 450MB PST file, it shows 10kb. I have
tried changing the security settings so that the 2nd user
has ownership & full control, but still no luck.
Any insight you can provide, or if you have seen this
problem before, and know of a remedy, I would appreciate
it.
Thanks,
