I burned a .pst file to CD. Now I can't open it from
Outlook when I go to File>Open>Personal Folders File (.pst)
I get 2 error messages: "Properties for this information
service must be defined prior to use" and "File access is
denied. You do not have the permission required to access
the file G:\Saved Messages.pst". Anyone out there have any
idea how to resolve this problem?

You cannot access it if it's on a CD, due to the read-only attribute of the file.

Transfer it to the new HDD, then remove the read-only attribute. You can then access it or import its contents into the new installation.

Copy the file from the CD to your hard drive and right-
click to change the properties of the file by
unchecking "Read-only". Try it now and see if it works. If
you get the services define error again then try using the
import function in the Files menu.
