Hi,

I have made a copy of my .pst file before rebuilding my system. I see it, I
can copy it but for some reason Outlook is telling me that it is not a *.pst
file.

Not funny, 3 years of mail at stakes.

Anybody has a clue about what I need to do to recuperate this valuable
information?

Basically, once Outllok was close, simply used cut and paste to DVD-R

So did you then move it back to a hard drive and remove its read only
attribute so Outlook could access it?

How did you create and copy this file?
Have you tried to repair it?

HI again Russ, BTW thanks for all your help.

I simply used a cut and paste approach. I checked the file originaly after
backup and it worked. Now that I need it, even the repair tool isn't able to
recognize it as a PST file...

Actually, I am starting to be pretty discussed about the whole thing and I
am seriously starting to regret buying the 2003 package.

Thanks again,

Eric
