The Outlook XP PST Backup 'Add-in' has been downloaded
and installed using the automatic Wizard installer with
it.
The 'Backup' folder does not appear as per instructions
in File/Backup in Outlook.
Can someone please tell me how to successfully install
this facility.

Thanks
Ian

Close Outlook, uninstall the Backup Tool, rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old,
install the Backup Tool, start Outlook

Do you see the "Backup" item under the "File" menu? If so, what happens
when you click it? If you get the Backup program pop-up, what do you see
when you click the Options button? It is there that you tell the Backup
program what to back up and where to store the backup.

Tried rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old, but cannot locate
file. Tried to reinstall prog, but still no show of
Backup under File. I'm using Win XP Home and Outlook XP.
Any other ideas please.
Thanks

Repeat procedure. You can find the outcmd.dat file here;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\APPLICATION DATA\Microsoft\Outlook
