hi, after a problematic shutdown, WinXP prompts me to select from two different boot options (someething like continue or start again). My PS2 port doesnt work, so I am using a USB keyboard. The problem is that this doesnt work before windows launch, therefore I cannot make the selection to start windows! Is there a way to bypass this
thank

I had the same problem, You need to go into your bios and enable the 'USB
Function for Dos' line.

Yeah, ok, but how do I do this without a keyboard? that's the catch. Or, how can I make windows
not ask me about different boot options before launching

Usually getting into the bios is by pressing the delete key as the computer
starts up, it shouldn't matter where the keyboard is plugged in at this
point as the bios should recognise it. It is only when windows starts that
you will have the problem as that is dos.

I forgot to thank you. It worked! I accessed the BIOS and changed the setting so that the USB kbd was recognised by the BIOS. thanx a million.
