Proxy settings.

I can connect to the internet through the direct
connection without a proxy.
When I try to connect using a proxy it says that my
username or password is invalid and I can't logon.
Are there any solutions to this problem or does my ISP
not allow proxy connections.
Any advice would be appreciated.

what os do you have on your machines ?
what ip have you configured loaded?
what proxy server have you used
whose your isp
