proxy setting

When I use my msn messenger I get an error stating that
internet explorer proxy settings are missing or incorrect
error DIBENG.DLL I found this file in c windows and it was
installed6/8/2000 199kb can you help me correct this

Please could you post the full error message(s) and your Windows and IE
version? Also if the error message is specifically referring to MSN
Messenger then you will most likely find more help in that newsgroup.
As for dibeng.dll is that a separate error message or is it part of the MSN
Messenger error message? Again, please post the full error message since
there are various dibeng.dll system error messages so the specific one would
be helpful in narrowing down the issue. For example, video drivers is one
example of a dibeng.dll issue and for that issue you could try upgrading
your drivers or use the vga driver.
