Protected form section breaks

I've split a document into two sections. The first
section essentially needs to be a form where no core text
can be changed, so I've put it as a protected form to
activate the fields (checkboxes etc). How do I now
continue with normal (unprotected form) text in the
second section? I can't even click the cursor in
position. Any help with this would be great, thanks,
Anne.

Unprotect the document. Then reprotect just the first section.

Hi Anne,

First select Tools > Unprotect Document to get back to the starting point.
Then use Tools > Protect Document (not the lock icon on the Forms toolbar),
click Forms, click the Sections button next to it, and uncheck the section
that you want to be able to edit.

The instructions are slightly different for Word 2003, where Tools > Protect
Document brings you to the Protect Document task bar instead of a dialog,
and you set a dropdown in the "Editing restrictions" section, then click
"Select sections".

thank you with your help! It worked and my boss is very
happy! Cheers again all of you who replied so quickly,
Anne.

P.S. Suzanne the comma thing on page 4 has made my day,
it's hilarious!
