I purchased a subscription to eTrust EZ Armor some time ago, but have never
really used the program. I have just reformatted my harddrive running
Windows XP Professional and I was going to give it a try.

Has anyone using this program had any trouble with it? I believe it is ver
3.1 now.

Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi Lori Ann,

I have never used the firewall, but have been using the antivirus
function from day one and highly recommend it.

I have been using EZ Armour for a few years without any problems until last week when I downloaded
sotware updates for the virus scan engine and the firewall. I installed just hours before Ghost 9 did a
scheduled incremental image. The next day my system would not boot and my Ghost 9 imageson a secon hard drive
were toast for some unexplained reason. Being paranoid I image monthly with Terrabyte's Image For DOS just in
case. It saved the day. I re-downloaded the EZ upgrades and everthing has been ok since. Must have been a
corrupted download that caused my problem. I highly recommend EZ Armour and have never had previous problems.
However, it's always wise to backup your data and image if possible before installing new programs IMHO.

I am using ZA Security Suite that includes EZTrust AntiVirus from Computer
Associates. I find it quite good.

When I received the SP1a CD, MS also sent out the free version of CA EZ
Armor.. I installed it onto a clients computer and it did the job nicely..
but you know how clients can be.. a slicker looking suite was asked for, and
so I duly installed their personal choice..

Oh well..

There isn't much in the way of options but it does seem to work well.

Hardly any, really, but if it does the job without being a pain to the
user.. isn't that what it is all about?..

I know of some people who have every alert pop up just so they can see who
is 'hacking' them.. lol..
