Hi all,

We have columns in a lot of spreadsheets that have 7 digit
SKU numbers. The initial spreadsheet, at 100%, with a
Courier font, looks great (all numbers are lined up
correctly). If I change the sheet to 75% to look at more
data at once, the font changes and the alignment becomes
off.

It is repeatable on everysystem I have been to. I have
changed printers, fonts, etc. no matter what font I
choose I get the same results.

Any gueses?

TIA,

Okay I see what you mean checked it at 75%. I was actually
thinking of printing on paper -- "fit to page" but am surprised
that the display does not

I tested with both Courier New and Lucinga Console and get
the same result:

100% - Fine
200% - Fine
80% - Fine
79% and below - Left side is misaligned

Forgive me butting in here but I have just done this in Excel 97 and it all
looks perfect over here! HTH

You can change a registry setting, as described in the following MSKB
article, to prevent this from happening. It's a fix for the Euro symbol
display problem, and also fixes the proportional font display.

Make a backup copy of the registry first:

What pointsize, fails at 10 works at 12 points for me with
Lucida Console with zoom at 75%

My system is Windows 2000 and the Excel is 2000 as well.
