I am getting the error message "1069 dependency service or
group failed to start." when I try to start the print
spooler service or any other service on a Windows 2000 Pro
machine with latest patches and service packs.
System was working fine yesterday and now cannot print,
only noticable difference is the RPCSS is disabled in
services, furthermore I cannot open the property pages for
any service even when logged on locally as Admin.
I have search the KB and the web and tried the various
steps there, including the net start spooler option to
restore print services. I am not sure if this is one issue
or multiple issues tied together.
