PROPER Text Function

I have a worksheet database that consists of ALL CAPS.
How do I use the PROPER function to convert the text?
I've tried and tried and I can't figure it out. Please
help...Thanks!
 
If you text is in A1, choose a cell where you want the
text to appear in Proper case:
=PROPER(A1)
This will give you the text you wish. You then need to
do a Copy + Paste Special of this text only pasting the
Values. You can then delete the original text
