Can anyone tell me what the proper FSB is on a AMD 2500+, right now it is set at 100MHz and operating at 1.16GHz. i know it should be running at least 1.8GHz. can anyone help me The motherboard is a MSI KT4AV series.
it should be at 333mhz.
i have nooo idea though what can cause the problem. you should wait intil somone else who knows alot more says somthing.
you could e-mail AMD about the problem. otherwise...after hard thinkin i have no idea what can cause that too happen. sorry
Kye is nearly correct, it should be 333 ... but you need to set the FSB to 166
Got to section 3 page 28 in your manual "Frequency/Voltage Control" ... and change "CPU FSB Clock" to 166 ... save the BIOS and reboot, everything should be correct.
You won't need to do anything with the memory settings as long as you use 333 (2700) memory ... if your using 400 (3200) then I hope you chose the correct memory recomended by MSI.
