prompt to enter credentials

Hi,
After I connected my XP machine to the domain, and try to
access any domain resources i prompt to enter user name
ans password even i am connecting to the netwrok.

This all depends on how you attached your machine to the Domain.
If it is a Windows XP Professional machine then you can make your machine a
member of the Domain and login using an account from that domain and thus
you should not be asked for credentials.
If you are logging in locally to your Windows XP Professional (it will be a
member of a workgroup) or a Windows XP Home Edition machine (these cannot be
domain members) then your will be promoted to a set of valid credentials
when you try and access resource secured by these credentials.
This is the correct behaviour
