Andi Dunstan

There is a web site I went to that requires a password to
enter. The first time you enter you are to use a temporary
password that's given to you. When I entered the temporary
password the Save password? prompt came up in IE. I replied
NO, because I didn't want the temporary password
remembered, I planned to answer YES once IE prompted for
this after I had created my permanent password. Well, after
creating my permanent password whenever I go to the login
page IE doesn't prompt to save the password. So how can I
get this permanent password saved?

Thanks, Andi Dunstan

Sometimes deleting the Temporary Internet Files folder,
and History folder, and Cookies folder will do it. These
folders contain files called index.dat. Some if not all
passwords are stored here. Caution, this will delete saved
passwords to. Here is a tidbit for ya, Some of those
passwords can be read in plain text with an ms-dos editor.
Using the save password option in Internet Explorer isn't
a very good idea. Can I have your IP address?
