Progress bar gone!

I just got a new comp with XP and in the process of
customizing the windows and whatnot I believe I've lost
the bottom part of the browser window that usually
displays the bar showing progress. I want to get that
back, along with the part that displays the location
you're going to when you put your mouse pointer over a
link. How can I get it back? My screen seems bare
without it, lol
