Yes, they will.

No, they won't.

Might help if you disclosed which "programs" you're talking about...

None of mine do, it's time for a complete upgrade!

Forgive me if I have placed this in the wrong area, I have no idea what I am
doing. :o)

I was wondering if I will have any problems with installing all of my old
programs/games to Vista.

I will be getting a new computer with Vista on it, but have never used it
before, or actually seen it to be honest with ya. I would hate to hear all
of my older programs won't work on it, someone please tell me they will all
work.

Thanks

Check on the web sites' for the software authors for compatibility info.
Some will, some won't, some will with certain functions not working, some
will need a minor update, some will need a new version.

Yeah, not just programs, but hardware too because some drivers won't run on
it, and newer drivers are not available.

I found out the hard way and it looks like I will also need a new printer,
scanner, Bluetooth dongle, etc.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Windows XP make a big point about being
very friendly with hardware by having generic drivers? Vista seems to be a
bit behind in the drivers department.

I like Vista so far though, albeit some niggles which I do not like.

None of my programs don't run on Vista. Again, maybe if you disclosed which
programs are not running for you, someone might be able to assist.
