programs closing all by them selves!

I cant run task manager. it opens then closes immediately; has for months. FRUSTURATIN
random sites on the internet kick me out of the internet completely
Tried all the user, network, system, and perfomance settings unhidden
i run cox cable internet with xp
sometimes computer gets automatic shutdown dialog box (remote server something?

can anyone please help?
 
You most likely have a virus . Run Housecall scan free off the web to locate
and delete the virus or worm. Jym
