Programming Carriage Return

How do you program excel to insert a carriage return when
return/enter is pressed to the beginning of the next row
instead of just going down in the column.

If entering text in a cell and you want a line feed in the cell use ALT +
ENTER

When entering numbers, use the Tab key to move to the right. Then when you
hit the enter key Excel will return to the first cell in the next row down.
