Program vanishes when minimized

Hi.
I have some programs set to minimize to tray. That sometimes works,
sometimes it minimizes into the taskbar and sometimes, unfortunatekly, it
vanishes altogether.
BUT:
I can still see it in the Task Manager under processes, but not under
applications. Thus I have no way of re-opening the window.
ShellExView doesn't even show it anymore, however, in
the Security Task Manager, it is shown as invisible. Ya, I figured that
much. None of those programs, however, seems to be capable of re-visibilize
the program.
Any trick from the pro's in the community of how to see the program again
without having to end the process in Task Manager and restarting it (That
always works, but I would like to circumnavigate it since unsaved data is
lost in that case).
Thanks.

Have you tried an "Alt-TAB" keypress which should allow you to
toggle between running applications ?

Yes, tried that.
since it is no longer listed as "application" (only system process) , I
cannot change to the window, as it doesn't appear in the Alt+Tab list.

If I understand you, it's like on my system when I have Media Player
minimized to it's toolbar state. In that operating mode, Media Player
doesn't appear in Applications but is present in processes. If I bring
up the player then it's state re-appears in Applications. It might help
if you could list a couple of applications that are exhibiting this
"Vanishing"
act.

Read Kelly's post and follow the links she has given you for the fix to this
problem.

I have the same problem. Although programs are running don't show up on
Taskbar.
I have installed every fix and toolbar but nothing changed.
Also, just found out that I can't compy and paste!
