I am looking for a program that will copy files to another
location on shutdown or one that'll let you just click and
copy them in one step. Different files would be added on
occasion. Hope that made sense. :-)

Thanks.

you could try Last Chance (www.fileware.co.uk).

program 'intercepts' the shutdown command and runs the programs/processes of
your choice before shutting down

you will still need to write a batch file for your copy process, or you could
perhaps team it with some sort of file/folder synching tool...

Julian;

Does the freeware version of Allway "copy files to another location on
shutdown...?" I can't find any options for that.

Yes. After creating a job go to VIEW...OPTIONS where you will see the
job(s) also listed. Expand your job and tick the automatic
synchronization tab. This will open up a whole range of extra options
including "Before Log Out"

Who knew?

I was mucking w/the 2.9 version which did not have this option. Am now
running the current 3.2.2, et voila, there's the "on shutdown" option.
Thanks for taking a moment Julian.

A couple of data points:
- free license limits sync "no more than 20000 files per 30-day period"
- no support page, no forums. brief faq only.

The above doesn't diminish though that this is a very comprehensive tool!

Thanks but the program just moves files.
I may have to make a batch file for this one.

Nah - Start Gipo@MoveOnBoot -->next, then drag and drop the file --> next
--> Copy File.

Seems like if one wanted to use it on a directory that could have
1,000+ files in it they would not be able to use it for more than 20
days a month.
